Around 50 employees at the Itasua company's Vehicle Inspection Centers (ITV) in Bergara and Zarautz have commenced an indefinite strike today, Monday, July 13th, demanding better working conditions and salary parity.

The work centers of the company Itasua, which manages the Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) in Bergara and Zarautz, employ approximately 50 workers. Following a strike dynamic that began on June 29th, they have now initiated an indefinite strike starting today, Monday.
The aim of this strike is to achieve parity with the working conditions of other ITV companies in Gipuzkoa. According to representatives from the ELA and LAB unions, "they work 133 more hours per year and have salaries between 2,000 and 8,000 euros lower compared to them".
The unions have criticized the company for not showing a willingness to negotiate and, instead, for violating the right to strike. Consequently, they have urged management to "initiate genuine negotiations".
Through the Council for Labor Relations, they have requested a meeting with the company, and both parties are scheduled to meet on Thursday, July 23rd, to attempt to resolve the issue.
