Bergara has secured a victory in the first leg of the Interpueblos pelota championship against Aduna, establishing a key advantage for the final.

The unique charm of the Interpueblos Championship was evident in the match between Bergara and Aduna. In the first leg, Bergara emerged victorious, giving them a stronger chance to advance to the final. Considering the results of the previous three matches (12-22, 22-23, and 22-17), Bergara is now the clear favorite.
The first point was claimed by the Aduna pair, composed of Olano and Fernández. Despite a good effort from the Bergara players, they struggled to reach the 22-point mark. The Aduna team demonstrated greater consistency and secured the initial point.
The junior match began similarly to the cadet one, with Aduna establishing an 8-1 lead. Bergara's back player, Contreras, made several errors, but the home team adapted well to the game. Despite trailing 7-13, they managed to turn the score around to 22-13, with forward Haritz Etxabe scoring some impressive points.
With the overall score tied, the senior match became the decider. The game was closely contested initially. However, Etxaniz and Ormaetxea took the lead, going up 8-5 and then 11-6. They capitalized on the Aduna back player Joanes Cestau's increasing errors, although Aduna did put up a fight towards the end, reaching 17 points.
The stands were filled with an exceptional atmosphere, as fans from both sides cheered enthusiastically. "We have the tie in our hands, but we are aware that Aduna's court is small and they are very strong there. For now, we will enjoy what we have achieved today," Ander Etxaniz told GOIENA.
