Bergara City Council has awarded the contract for the remaining section of the bike path on Urteaga street. These works will definitively connect the pedestrian and cycling route between Bergara and Antzuola.

The project has been awarded to Construcciones Zubieder for 143,333 euros, excluding VAT. While the start date is yet to be confirmed, the construction is expected to last four months.
The plan includes creating a mixed-use road that will allow alternating vehicle traffic, regulated by traffic lights, alongside a dedicated space for pedestrians and cyclists. Safety will be enhanced with LED lighting and new railings.
The project is supported by a 100,000 euro grant from the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council. This development is part of a broader mobility plan to safely connect the industrial area and urban districts of Bergara with Antzuola.
