The Department of Childhood and Youth of the Oñati City Council has opened the second call for grants to support young cultural creation and dissemination projects, with the application period open until November 4.

These grants, awarded annually, are intended for cultural activities promoted by young people, youth groups, or associations from Oñati. In this second call, the focus is on supporting cultural creation and dissemination projects.
The basic requirements to receive these grants include: the applicant (organization, group, or individual) must be from Oñati, and at least half of the members of the applicant group must be between 12 and 30 years old. If the conditions are met, an official written application must be submitted.
Information will be provided at the Gazteleku, but applications must be submitted at the town hall's HAZ office, either in person or through the municipal electronic registry.
In the first call launched in spring, 5 projects from three applicants were supported, distributing over 6,600 euros. The groups Lee kore and Sukena received aid to record a disc and a video clip each, and Aierte to produce an EP. Of the 15,000 euros initially allocated for these grants, after deducting the 6,642 euros awarded in July, 8,358 euros remain to be distributed in this newly opened second call.
