This cultural proposal aims to bring the creative world of sculptor and artist Jorge Oteiza closer to the public through a fusion of cinema and dance. The event will feature the screening of the documentary Oteiza 14 apóstoles, directed by Oskar Alegría, and a performance by the Basque dance group Argia.
The program will begin at 6:00 PM with the screening of the documentary. Afterward, attendees can participate in a discussion with the director himself and Jaione Apalategi, project manager for Danok Oteiza. The session will take place in the main hall on the second floor of Portalea.
This artistic experience offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into Oteiza's work.
Later, at 7:30 PM, the exhibition hall on the same floor will host Apostoluen soka-dantza, a 15-minute performance by the group Argia Euskal Dantzari Taldea, choreographed by Juan Antonio Urbeltz. Following the performance, Urbeltz will also participate in a meeting to discuss the artistic proposal.
Admission to both activities will be free of charge until full capacity is reached. The initiative is organized by the Dantzan association, as part of the Dantzan Ikasi program promoted by Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea, and is included in the program for the 61st edition of the Euskal Jaia, organized by the Eibar Sports Club.
