Residents of Mutriku will once again have the opportunity to enjoy various cultural shows and events this summer without leaving the town. The City Council, in collaboration with local associations, collectives, and agents, has prepared a new edition of the summer cultural cycle for locals and visitors.
The program designed for this summer includes six cultural performances of various kinds, all featuring local groups. The 'Udako kultur ikuskizunak' cycle activities will kick off on June 27 and conclude on August 8. All shows will take place in Goiko plaza at 10:30 PM, with the sole exception being the performance by the dance group Gure Ametsa on July 18, which will start at 8:00 PM.
The events scheduled before the patron saint festivities will begin on Saturday, June 27, with a concert by Mutrikuko Akordeoi Taldea and Madalen Abesbatza. A week later, on July 4, the local Banda de Música will present a tribute to Queen, featuring singer Jon Gurrutxaga. On Friday, July 10, the choir Anaiarte will perform in Goiko plaza, and on July 18, Gure Ametsa will present the show 'Paloteotik fandangora'.
The final two events of the summer cycle will take place in August. On the 1st, the company Verdini Dantza Konpainia (from Donostia) will present its show 'Verdiniren distira'. The cycle will conclude on August 8 with a concert by Esti Markez.
Additionally, the Culture Department of the Mutriku City Council has also provided details on the upcoming patron saint festivities. On July 21, the eve of the Magdalena festival, Oizeder Mayo and Oihan Vega will perform. July 22 will feature Joselu Anaiak, while on July 24, the spotlight will be on Janus Lester. On July 25, the town will host the circus show 'Loratzen' by the company Zirkun Zirko.
