Mutriku celebrates Malen festivals until Saturday

The opening firecracker has kicked off the festivities, with a wide program of activities starting from Tuesday.

Mutriku has immersed itself in the Malen festivals this Tuesday, which will continue until next Saturday. The opening firecracker officially marked the start of the celebrations, spreading the festive atmosphere throughout the town.

This Wednesday, the 22nd, the Day of Malen will be celebrated. In the morning, there will be a wake-up call by the Mutriku Music Band (10:00 AM) and the Solemn Mass (11:00 AM in the parish church). Afterwards, a children's park (morning and afternoon at the Egaña center) and a concert by the local Band (1:00 PM in the Goiko Square), performing seven pieces under the direction of Ibai Pastor.
In the afternoon, there will be bull-running (6:00 PM) and a rural sports festival (in Goiko Square). At night, fireworks (11:00 PM) and several concerts: the group Malko (9:00 PM at the txosna), a dance with the duo Joselu Anaiak (11:30 PM in Goiko Square), and performances by Skarregekasko and Alarma Morea (from 11:30 PM onwards at the txosnas).
On July 23rd, Malen Txiki Day will be celebrated, focusing on children. The program includes a children's drawing contest (10:00 AM), giants and big-heads (12:00 PM), finals of the Txikien Madalen championship (5:00 PM, in Miruaitzen), the show 'Modernoak' (5:00 PM, in Zabiel Square), and a children's drum parade (8:00 PM). Additionally, there will be a disco mobile Esna gazte! (9:30 PM).
On Friday, the "Kuadrilla Eguna" (Group Day) will be celebrated, and on Saturday, the "Santixo eguna" will close the festivities.
