From April 16 to 30, the 'Karteletrak' exhibition will be on display at the Zabiel cultural center. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place on April 16 at 18:00, with the presence of writer Joseba Sarrionandia, who has played a significant role in its organization.
This exhibition features various palindromes created by Markos Gimeno (Ermua 1974 - Eibar 2018), as well as illustrative posters made by different artists. Palindromes are words and phrases that read the same forwards and backward. Markos Gimeno possessed a unique talent for creating them, and this exhibition is a tribute to him. Joseba Sarrionandia also published the book 'Markos Gimenoren 101 letrakartel', selecting and annotating 101 of Markos's palindromes.
In connection with this exhibition, on April 24, at 19:00, Mursego's concert 'Sukramarkus: Markos Gimenoren palindromoen berrirakurketa librea' will be held at Zabiel. Tickets for this event, priced at 3 euros, can be purchased from April 14 on the mutriku.eus website or at the Tourism Office.
Furthermore, on April 18, coinciding with the Small Market, writer Onintza Enbeita will be at Beheko Plaza at 12:30, presenting her book 'Bizitza baten txatalak'. In this work, Enbeita recounts the life of Feli Madariaga, a woman deeply connected to the farmhouse and the land.
More activities are also scheduled: on April 23, the Library will host 'Habiko ipuinak', a musical storytelling session for children by narrator Amaia Elizagoien and musician Itziar Olague. On April 28, writer Katixa Agirre will visit the Library from 18:00 onwards to present her latest work, 'Barne Zerbitzuak'. This novel transports us to the years 1937-1943, focusing on brave women who risked their lives to save many others during that dark period.
After the book presentation, the awards for the IX Ziriako Andonegi Micro-story Contest will be presented, concluding the extensive program prepared for this year's Book Month.
