Azahara Domínguez, Deputy of Mobility, Tourism, and Spatial Planning, has announced that the DB02 line (Ermua>Donostia) will have its usual reinforcement services starting Monday. These services will run at 6:30 AM, 7:10 AM, and 3:10 PM towards Donostia, and at 2:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7:20 PM towards Eibar.
Additionally, a reinforcement will be available to boost the 5:50 AM service on line DG07 (Eskoriatza>Arrasate>Elgoibar>Zarautz>Donostia) towards Donostia, if needed.
The deputy emphasized that "the start of the academic year represents one of the most significant points of the year for public transport usage." Therefore, "as we have done in previous years, we will regularly reinforce the service we offer, to continue providing certainty to families and individuals who commute daily, ensuring they have access to public transport".
Domínguez added that these reinforcements "not only allow us to respond to the mobility needs generated by the return to normal activity but also demonstrate that public transport is increasingly integrated into people's daily lives." "We want those who choose the bus to find a comfortable, accessible, safe, and reliable service," she stated.
The deputy recalled that these reinforcements are the result of planning and collaboration with the municipalities of Eibar and Elgoibar, with whom they have worked together in this area in recent years. In this regard, she thanked the mayor of Eibar, Jon Iraola, and the mayoress of Elgoibar, Maialen Gurrutxaga, for their willingness to continue promoting and improving public transport.

Maialen Gurrutxaga, the mayoress of Elgoibar, recalled that in July they "requested the Provincial Council to reinforce the bus services passing through Elgoibar and going to Donostia at the beginning of the academic year."
