The Untzaga Social Center hosted a special event to mark International Organ Day, which was celebrated on May 6. The day gathered many enthusiasts of the Helmholtz organ, aiming to emphasize the importance and history of this instrument.
During the event, a former mayor of Eibar gave a detailed talk about the instrument, which was manufactured in the town. Following the lecture, a musician performed a concert at the same Untzaga Social Center, delighting attendees with various musical pieces.
The day served to highlight the value of the Helmholtz organ, a piece closely linked to the technical and industrial history of Eibar. In addition to the musical performances, another collaborator sang some songs, demonstrating the appreciation that the people of Eibar maintain for the organ and music.
“"The event served to demonstrate that both the organ and music continue to be appreciated by the people of Eibar."
