The Elgoibar City Council has announced street closures and traffic modifications scheduled for the San Bartolomé festivities, running from August 19th to 31st.

The Elgoibar City Council has informed residents about street closures that will be in effect from August 19th to 31st due to the upcoming San Bartolomé festivities. These closures are necessary for the proper development of the events and will impact traffic, particularly due to cycling races and soapbox derby activities.
Specifically, Aita Agirre plaza and Pedro Migel Urruzuno street will be closed from August 19th to 31st, with the exception of access to garages. Additionally, key downtown streets such as San Frantzisko street, Kalebarren plaza, San Bartolome street, Errosario street, Kalegoen plaza, and Santa Ana street will be closed from August 23rd to 25th and from August 27th to 29th (both inclusive).
Maala street, in the section from the N-634 to the Ermuaranbide roundabout, will also be affected. While garage access will be maintained, it will be closed in three phases: from August 23rd at 12:00 PM to August 26th at 7:00 AM; from August 27th at 6:00 AM to August 28th at 11:30 AM; and from August 28th at 2:00 PM to August 30th at 7:00 AM.
On August 23rd, a cycling race will disrupt traffic on Bernardo Ezenarro street. Traffic will be intermittently cut from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and completely closed from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. These closures will affect the Maala bridge and the streets Ermuaranbide, Bernardo Ezenarro, Pedro Migel Urruzuno, Uparitzaga, and Toletxe.
Furthermore, on August 28th, due to the soapbox derby, traffic from Erretsundi to Trenbide street will be closed from approximately 11:45 AM to 2:30 PM. The affected streets include Basarte, San Roke, Santa Ana, and Juan Mugertza streets, with specific instructions for entry and exit.
The Council reminds the public that additional closures or traffic changes may occur depending on the progress of the festivities. For more detailed information, the Local Police can be contacted at Errosario Kalea 35 or by phone at 943 741 394.
