The AP-8 motorway in Deba will be closed this Sunday, April 19, in the Bilbao direction, to carry out tree felling work on trees at risk of falling onto the road.

The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council has reported that the closure will commence at 7:00 AM at kilometer point 56.500 and is expected to last until 8:00 PM on the same day. These operations are crucial to ensure road safety by removing trees that pose a hazard to traffic.
During this closure, traffic heading towards Bilbao will be diverted via a 'bypass', utilizing the left lane of the platform normally used for the Behobia direction.
Furthermore, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, the Behobia exit of the AP-8 (towards France) will also be completely closed. This is due to repair work on the pavement of the roundabout connecting to the N-121-A road.
Drivers intending to use this exit for Irun or to join the N-121-A will need to cross the bridge and take the Hendaye-Biriatou exit, located before the toll station, to make a U-turn and then use exit zero, in the Bilbao direction, to access the N-121-A.
