The mountain section of Club Deportivo Eibar, in collaboration with Morkaiko Mendizale Elkartea, has completed a two-day traverse in the Western Pyrenees with 22 hikers participating.

Last weekend, the mountain section of Club Deportivo Eibar, in partnership with Morkaiko Mendizale Elkartea, organized a new high-mountain outing. A total of 22 hikers took part in this two-day traverse through the Western Pyrenees.
The excursion was planned as a traverse, meaning each participant had to carry all necessary gear and provisions for the two days, in addition to spending the night at the Arlet refuge.
High temperatures recorded over the weekend added to the challenge. The heat accompanied the hikers for a significant portion of the route, requiring careful management of effort and hydration. Despite this, the group successfully completed the planned itinerary and fully enjoyed the experience.
The reward for their effort came in the form of spectacular scenery. Participants crossed some of the most emblematic corners of the Western Pyrenees, enjoying wide panoramas of peaks, valleys, and mountain lakes. Among the notable points were the Arlet refuge, a key location for hikers in this border area between Navarra, Aragon, and France, as well as the Anie peak and the lake of Arlet, two of the most photographed spots during the outing.
Particularly striking were the views over the Lescún valley, considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in the French Pyrenees. Its immense rock walls, deep gorges, and vast meadows offered a memorable sight to the attendees. Panoramas of the area's main peaks accompanied the hikers throughout the traverse.
The outing was marked by the spirit of camaraderie characteristic of the mountain section's activities at Club Deportivo Eibar. The two days spent in nature, overcoming the route's difficulties together and enjoying some of the most spectacular Pyrenean landscapes, made the experience truly special.
Following this expedition, mountaineering activities will continue on July 4th with the fifth stage of the 'Trabuko bidea', which will connect the Navarrese towns of Errotz and Asiain, continuing one of the club's most unique projects.
