The city of Eibar will be filled with culture and humor this autumn thanks to the second edition of the Komedia Fest. The event will feature nine shows between September 26th and November 22nd, with UNI Eibar-Ermua and the Coliseo Theater serving as the main venues.
The festival will open on September 26th at 8:30 PM at UNI Eibar-Ermua, with comedian Alex Ayres presenting his show 'Ardillas en mi cabeza'. Ayres, who has an extensive career in the stand-up circuit, arrives in Eibar with his own performance. Additionally, one of this edition's novelties will be screenwriter and comedian Sandra Flores, known for her character Josie Asquerosi, who will be the first opening act in Komedia Fest's history.
In October, the programming will continue. On October 16th, Juan Carlos Ortega will present 'Las Noches de Ortega' at the UNI. Two days later, on October 18th, David Domínguez will perform 'El raro de los 90'. On October 23rd, Yunez Chaib will perform 'En directo', and on the 25th, Laura del Val will bring 'En mi cabeza sonaba mejor' to the Coliseo Theater. The month will conclude on October 30th with Agustín Jiménez and David Puerto presenting 'Pan de Gambas' at UNI Eibar-Ermua.
In November, three more performances will take place: Ane Lindane and Raquel Torres will present 'Despotorre' on November 14th at the Coliseo; Diego Arjona will bring 'Divorciarse a los 40' on November 20th to the UNI; and Mikel Bermejo will close the festival on November 22nd with 'Eureka' at the Coliseo.
The festival aims to blend different styles and generations, featuring monologues, stand-up, and other formats to attract a broad audience. Organizers intend to draw spectators from Debabarrena and other regions of Euskadi. Last year's inaugural edition saw 2,547 attendees with an average occupancy of 66.2%.
Advance ticket sales already indicate a strong response. Tickets for Mikel Bermejo's 'Eureka' and for the opening acts by Alex Ayres and 'Pan de Gambas' are nearly sold out. Furthermore, the inclusion of Juan Carlos Ortega, whose performance was not initially on the announced schedule, has been confirmed.
