In Irun, the local council has revealed the details for the ninth edition of the 'Irun Zuzenean' cycle, set to take place during October. The program, presented at the CBA Kulturgunea, aims to provide a comprehensive musical experience by combining main concerts with DJ sets. As explained by Culture representative Nuria Alzaga and Youth representative Sandra Caballero, the goal is to foster an atmosphere appealing to diverse audiences by utilizing different spaces.
On Saturdays throughout October, DJ sessions will precede and follow the concerts. On October 10th, local DJ DJ Aimar will perform on the day dedicated to young people. This will be followed on October 17th by DJ Siwanaba, who will bring Caribbean rhythms. On October 24th, DJ Optigan 1 (Joseba Vegas) will mix classic pop-rock tracks, and the cycle will conclude on October 31st with the young collective Zeatikez DJs.
As a new addition, on October 9th, guitarist Igor Paskual Loquillo will host a masterclass in the Irun Zuzenean hall. During this session, he will teach how to compose a rock song over an hour and a half.
The cycle will kick off on October 3rd with a free concert by Huecco in the Plaza San Juan, coinciding with the 'Txarangak Zuzenean' event. All other performances will be held at the Irun Zuzenean hall within the CBA.
This year marks the first time that season tickets or passes for the entire festival will be available: a general pass for 40 euros and a reduced price pass for 30 euros. Individual concert tickets can be purchased on the municipal website.
