The Ertzaintza has arrested three men in Llodio for their alleged involvement in several forced entry robberies committed inside vehicles, two of whom were located thanks to the geolocation of an item stolen in Bilbao.

The arrests took place in the municipality of Llodio, where two of the apprehended individuals were found due to a geolocation signal from an electronic music device stolen earlier that morning in Bilbao's Abando neighborhood. The third suspect was intercepted after a robbery committed in Llodio's Lateorro neighborhood itself.
Around 9:30 PM last Saturday, the Ertzain-etxea of Laudio received a report that an electronic music device, stolen that morning in Bilbao's Abando neighborhood, was emitting a geolocation signal from a property on a street in Llodio. The theft had been previously reported to the Bilbao Municipal Police.
Following relevant investigations, several patrols were dispatched to the area and intercepted two individuals near the aforementioned residence. The suspects, aged 29 and 35, have police records for property crimes. During the search, officers confirmed they were carrying a ring, a gold chain with a pendant, and sports shoes, items that had been stolen from a vehicle parked in the Bizkaia capital.
Both men were arrested for an alleged crime of forced entry robbery. After completing police procedures, the arrested individuals were brought before a judge this Monday. Ultimately, the recovered material was returned to its rightful owner.
Separately, police activity in the Alavese town led to a third arrest over the weekend. At 2:45 AM on Saturday, a citizen protection patrol observed a man acting suspiciously and looking into parked cars on Virgen del Carmen street.
Upon identification, a unit from the Local Police arrived and reported that a forced entry robbery had occurred that same night in a parking lot in the Lateorro neighborhood, where a vehicle's passenger window had been broken. Among the suspect's belongings, sunglasses were found, whose origin was directly linked to that robbery. The individual, a 43-year-old man with a history of property offenses, was arrested and placed at the disposal of the Amurrio Court that same Saturday. The stolen sunglasses are now back in their owner's possession.
