The Committee for Popular Festivals of Amurrio has presented the festival program, in collaboration with the Festival Squads. They have emphasized the Squads' involvement in the organization, as they have participated in all meetings with the committee and the City Council.
Maintaining the main events, the traditional park paella competition will also take place this year, scheduled for August 13th, the day after the opening 'chupinazo' (firecracker).
The musical offering will be diverse: the father-and-son duo Etxebarria, the Catalan group Disbauxa hardcore, Xendra, Herio, as well as romerías (traditional folk music groups) and DJs will perform on the park and Gazte Karpa stages.
This program, organized by and for the community, includes the participation of various groups: Jai Kuadrillak, Ernai, Etxerat, Mendiko Lagunak, Otsemeak, Ohiturak Kultur Taldea, Amurrio Harro, Euskalgintza Kontseilua, Amurrioko Emakumeon Sarea, SOS Aiaraldea, and Amurrio Aisia Eskaut Taldea.
Committee members Josu Arrieta and Nerea Luaces have highlighted the importance of the work involved and expressed their hope that the program will appeal to all residents.
