Laudio held several events on Thursday in Lamuza square: an olive tree was planted in memory of Palestinian children killed by Israel, and local resident Haizea Urkixo was welcomed.

The Laudio-Palestina initiative organized an event on Thursday in Lamuza square, which brought together various demands. As part of the Gure haurrak ere badira (Our children also exist) initiative, an olive tree was planted.
Thanks to the initiative promoted by this group, all schools in Laudio have now planted an olive tree to remember all the Palestinian children killed by Israel.
The local resident Haizea Urkixo returned to the Basque Country on Wednesday, and received a warm welcome at this event. Urkixo had been in Libya with the convoy attempting to reach Gaza. The convoy was attacked in Sirte on Monday, and Urkixo once again called for the release of the activists who remain kidnapped.
