Basque President Imanol Pradales arrived at the centenary event of JEZ company amid whistles and shouts, having to pass by the picket line of Maderas de Laudio strikers.

The workers of Maderas de Laudio marked their 250th day of strike last Wednesday. Police presence was notable from early morning, and the president entered the factory behind a large police cordon.
Not only workers from Maderas de Laudio but also from JEZ and Tubos Reunidos were present at the protest. The LAB union has issued a statement expressing solidarity with the Maderas de Laudio workers and has sent a letter to the president requesting institutional involvement in the labor dispute.

"We believe that the political and media attention this event garners should also serve to highlight the urgency of resolving this conflict. It is essential to advocate for activating all mechanisms to maintain employment in our region and to take political responsibility in the face of such conflicts, without neglecting the working class."
