The annual community bread-kneading event took place today in Artziniega, aiming to spread traditional bread-making methods among new generations, attracting over a hundred participants.

As is customary, Artziniega hosted its annual community bread-kneading event, an initiative designed to promote traditional bread-making among younger generations. The workshop, organized by the Artea association, drew over a hundred participants of all ages.
During the event, detailed explanations were provided on the process of kneading dough. Afterwards, attendees had the opportunity to prepare and bake their own txoripan, putting ancient techniques into practice.
Members of the Artea association also prepared several Easter loaves and shared stories of their youth with those present. In Artziniega, it was a tradition during Easter to prepare breads filled with chorizo and eggs, either as gifts from godparents to their godchildren or to be cooked and shared among groups of friends.
