Residents from Aiaraldea carried their own banner at Saturday's Basque Language March in Pamplona, with demands for the Basque language and the challenge of increasing the number of speakers.

Thousands of Basque language enthusiasts participated in Saturday's mobilization to demand "everything necessary to live in Basque". The march began divided into three columns and concluded with an event in Plaza del Castillo.
There, a collective challenge was put forward: for Basque to gain 300,000 speakers in 10 years, "doubling the current rate of Basque acquisition".

"If Basque is to have a future, if it is to continue being a living and pervasive language in the coming decades, a leap in language policies is essential. A paradigm shift. Ambitious and bold language policies are needed that move beyond minority language policies and bring about the generalization of knowledge and the real conditions for its normal use."
