The City Council is working on modernizing one of the town's main urban thoroughfares. Following the completion of the first stage, the works continue with the aim of renewing infrastructure and improving pedestrian accessibility.
The total intervention has a budget of 507,881.73 euros and covers the section between the Red Cross building and the Barandiarán establishment, spanning 235.39 meters. The project seeks to modernize infrastructure and enhance pedestrian accessibility and safety, promoting a more balanced coexistence between vehicles and people using the street.
The works include the renovation of sanitation and supply networks, as well as improvements to the pavement and pedestrian areas. This action will update underground infrastructure and move towards a more accessible and safer urban environment.
The renovation of Juan Calzada will continue the improvements made to the already renewed section between the Pasealeku and the Red Cross building, aiming to progressively complete the transformation of this urban axis.
Through this initiative, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to enhancing public space, pedestrian accessibility, and the modernization of municipal infrastructure.
