The presentation event in Azpeitia brought together bertsolaris, topic presenters, judges, and organizers, along with creators from various cultural disciplines. They have worked to give shape and character to the championship, resulting in the new brand, imagery, scenography, and theme song. Lumik (Nahia Zubeldia Arozena and Manu Matthys Dottax) has created the championship's theme song.
These new elements are the product of a collective creative process in the space provided by the Kulturaz cooperative. It was emphasized that bertsolarismo itself is a collective exercise, and that the championship, while the main showcase for bertsolarismo, is only a part of the verse scene, but it offers an opportunity every four years to place bertsolarismo at the center of the map of Euskal Herria.
The competition will begin on September 19 in Hazparne. Representatives from Busturialdea, Onintza Enbeita Maguregi and Aitor Etxebarriazarraga Badiola, will compete on October 10 in Gotaine-Irabarne. The first phase will run from September 19 to October 11, and the semi-finals will be held from October 24 to December 5. The final will take place on December 20 at the Nafarroa Arena in Iruña.
At yesterday's event, Irati Antia Zuaznabar was live-serigraphying the imagery, and Malen Agirre Sarasua was painting the final's scenography. The celebration began with the dance group Bilaka, and Antton Telleria Lopetegi served as the host. Additionally, Andoni Egaña sang verses by Makazaga, and the group Adarbakarra performed a sketch.
Ainhoa Urien Telletxea, Ander Elortegi Garatea, and Xabi Igoa Eriz, from the presidency team, also took the stage, highlighting that the goal of the Bertsozale Elkartea is to protect and develop the work of the bertsolari, enabling them to express what they need to say to those who craft words, especially in this significant championship.
