Bermeo is gearing up to experience one of its most anticipated weekends of the year with the arrival of a new edition of the Arrain Azoka. From May 22 to 24, the coastal town will once again be a meeting point for maritime culture, gastronomy, and Euskadi's fishing products.
The La Lamera park will host nearly thirty producers and companies linked to the sea. At the fair, fish and preserves will be the main stars, with offerings ranging from traditional preparations to smoked products, pre-cooked meals, frozen goods, and seafood.
The Arrain Azoka reflects Bermeo's strong historical connection with fishing and the trades that have shaped the town's identity. For three days, the streets will regain the atmosphere of major popular celebrations centered around the sea, with a program that includes tastings, culinary workshops, performances, street parades, exhibitions, and boat trips.
Among the most anticipated events are the classic pintxo contest and the Espacio Solidario (Solidarity Space), where traditional dishes with a charitable purpose will be served. Additionally, the Hegaluze award will be presented, recognizing individuals or entities that have promoted Bermeo's image.
The fair activities will take place in La Lamera on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM without interruption. On Sunday, the stalls will be open in the morning until 3:00 PM.
