Bilbao is celebrating its 726th anniversary with the GAU ZURIA event, featuring musical performances by artists such as Neomak, Maite Larburu, and Olatz Salvador.
Municipalities like Leioa, Muskiz, and Sestao are also holding their local festivals. Leioa has activities planned for all ages and tastes. Muskiz will host concerts, children's events, contests, and sports activities. Sestao, meanwhile, has prepared over 100 activities to celebrate the Sampedros.
In the music scene, Amorebieta will host the 19th edition of the Haizetara International Street Music Festival. Additionally, in Bermeo, the Dantzari Txiki Eguna will take place, where eight groups from Busturialdea will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Alkartasuna Dantza Taldea.
Complementing the cultural offerings, the exhibition 'Miradas do camiño' will be on display at the Sala Ondare. The Amorebieta festival and the Bermeo dance event further enrich the extensive agenda.
Other proposals include the San Juan Fair in Orduña, showcasing crafts and agri-food products. The Muñatones Castle will host a Medieval Historical Reenactment, offering a journey into the past.
Our special recommendation is 'Flores de queso' by Santiago Mohedano, a native of Basauri, presented at the Víctor Montes restaurant. Mohedano devised an innovative way to eat cheese during lockdown, shaping it like a flower, and his creations have graced exclusive venues across the country.
Furthermore, Zierbena will host the Kirol Ur Festa, providing opportunities for water sports in the estuary.
