Roads in Bizkaia experienced traffic jams at several points on Friday afternoon, particularly on the A-8, Txorierri, La Avanzada, and Malmasín, due to a vehicle breakdown and high traffic density.

Traffic congestion was noticeable on Bizkaia's roads on Friday afternoon, especially around 3:00 PM. At that time, delays were reported at four main locations: the A-8 highway, the Txorierri corridor, La Avanzada, and the Malmasín tunnels.
On the A-8, heading towards Bilbao and near the access from San Mamés, a vehicle breakdown caused an obstruction in one lane, significantly slowing down traffic.
Furthermore, the Txorierri corridor also experienced heavy traffic density in the direction of Barakaldo, leading to significant delays. Similarly, in La Avanzada, heading towards Getxo, a similar situation occurred due to the high volume of vehicles.
Finally, the Malmasín tunnels, in the direction of Bilbao, also registered traffic jams, complicating circulation during these afternoon hours.
