The Fiscal and Border Unit of the Civil Guard has intercepted several prohibited weapons at a fiscal verification point in Bizkaia, aiming to enhance public safety and prevent incidents.

In a recent operation, the Civil Guard seized two expandable batons, classified as prohibited weapons, during a traffic control in Bizkaia. These items were found in two vehicles, leading to their immediate confiscation and the processing of corresponding complaints against the involved drivers.
Police sources indicated that such actions are vital for removing potentially dangerous instruments from circulation, thereby improving citizen safety and preventing incidents. Current regulations explicitly prohibit the possession and transport of these types of weapons.
In addition to these seizures, the Civil Guard had previously intervened in Bizkaia after detecting the online sale of illegal items on a marketplace website. This intervention prevented the commercialization of prohibited weapons, and these incidents were reported to the competent authorities, as they constitute a serious offense regarding weapons.
