Throughout the morning, the A-8 highway, heading towards Cantabria, experienced considerable traffic congestion. Many residents from Bizkaia took advantage of the long weekend and pleasant weather to visit eastern Cantabria.

The Ertzaintza had to issue a warning for caution on social media due to the increasing queues, which stretched from Castro Urdiales to the La Arena bridge in Muskiz. Fortunately, no accidents were reported.

After a few hours, traffic on the highway returned to normal, allowing for smoother travel.
