Javier-Argoitia and Txanika-Salegi will compete this Friday in the La Uni fronton in Markina-Xemein in the preliminary final of the Jai Alai League.

Javier-Argoitia and Txanika-Salegi will face each other this Friday at the La Uni fronton in Markina-Xemein in the preliminary final of the Jai Alai League. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM, with the winners securing a spot in Group B, where Barandika-Ibarluzea and Aritz Erkiaga-Atain are already waiting.
The young punter from Toledo, based in Bizkaia, alongside his partner Argoitia, a champion of Euskal Herritik Mundura, will compete against the well-known pair of Txanika and Salegi. In the initial round, they eliminated the strong pairings of Goixerri-Oyhenard and Libois-Del Río.
The Gernika-Lumo based company will follow the usual format: six pairs divided into two groups decided by a league phase (June 14, 19, and 26), two semifinal festivals (July 3 and 10), and the final (July 16, live on ETB-1).
Also competing in Group B will be Gorka Sorozabal, the recent champion of the Bilbao Iron Cup, and Eñaut Urreisti, the current Individual champion. Additionally, Johan Sorozabal and Jon Zabala will form another of the group's duos.
Meanwhile, Xabier Barandika, who is returning after an elbow injury, will play again this Sunday at the La Uni fronton, partnered with Ion Ibarluzea. "My goal now is to be on the court, more than winning," stated Barandika.
