The call will remain open until 2:00 PM on June 26, 2026, and is aimed at individuals over 15 years of age, who may submit one or two works related to the municipality. The objective is to gather diverse perspectives that contribute to enriching a publication that annually captures part of Bermeo's collective identity.
Texts can cover various themes, from stories and legends to real or fictional narratives, anniversaries, or content related to fields such as history, language, art, or music. Opinion articles will not be accepted, and submissions must be unpublished, with a maximum length of 9,000 characters.
Although the call is open to different approaches, texts in Euskera will be prioritized, as the book will be published predominantly in this language. Additionally, works that offer an inclusive, egalitarian, and respectful perspective on diversity, as well as those that help to make different realities visible, will be especially valued.
To participate, each text must include a title and be submitted along with the corresponding application form (models IN-E 291/02-22 or IN-G 291/02-22). If authorized via document IN-108, another person may submit the work on behalf of the author.
Submissions must be made in both paper and digital format (Word file), either in person at the Berhaz office, located at Ertzilla street 6-8, or through the municipal electronic headquarters. The complete rules and forms are available in the “initiatives” section of the City Council's website.
