The information point concerning the low-emission zone (ZBE) in Irun, located at Plaza Txanaleta, has registered over 275 queries between July 6th and September 30th. During these three months, questions and doubts regarding the future implementation of the ZBE and the initial approval of its ordinance have been addressed.
The most frequent inquiries from citizens focused on obtaining general information about the ZBE. Subsequently, questions about the zone's scope of application, access to garages, vehicle environmental distinctions, and the implications of each label were prominent.
The age group showing the most interest was individuals between 36 and 65 years old, accounting for 58% of total queries. They were followed by those over 65, representing 38%. In terms of gender, 68% of visitors to the information point were men and 32% were women. The majority, as expected, are from Irun (73%), compared to 9% from the rest of the country or foreign nationals.
The objective of the Irun City Council in setting up this information booth was to provide citizens with a space that ensured complete transparency regarding the implementation process of the city's future ZBE.
It is worth noting that the public exhibition period has concluded, and the objective now is for the definitive approval of the ordinance to be presented to the Plenary session next November.
