The Lapurriturri Information Point, located in the Aiako Harria Natural Park, registered 342 visitors and 72 participants in special activities during the 2026 season.

Sergio Javier, delegate for Sustainable Development of the Irun City Council, presented the 2026 balance for the Lapurriturri Information Point. The facility recorded 342 visitors and 72 participants in special activities organized to better understand the surroundings.
Javier emphasized that "this enclave is much more than an Information Point. It has become a reference for people seeking to start one of the many routes through Aiako Harria or to learn about the species and natural elements around us." August was the busiest month, with 129 people (37.7% of the total).
The main visitor age group is between 40 and 65 years old, with 229 people (67%). The majority of visitors are from Euskadi but from outside Irun, totaling 159 visitors (46.5%).
In 2026, the center was open during Easter and on weekends and holidays between June and October, for a total of 50 days. The opening hours were from 09:30h to 13:30h. Its location next to the Erlaitz fields offers great views of the natural park.
In addition to providing park information, the information point organized five free excursions, with 72 participants. These activities covered topics such as minerals, pollinators, and local trees.
During the season, bird identification sheets were given to visitors, and participants in special activities received educational resources and bird sheets. Specific maps were also created to facilitate navigation along the park's trails.
