Irun-born soprano María Martín Campos will discuss her artistic career this Friday at 7:00 PM at the CBA, as part of the Geltoki program.

Born in Irun in 1996, soprano María Martín Campos will share her musical journey with the public this Friday afternoon. She has been part of the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan from 2023 to 2025, after completing advanced singing studies at Musikene and a master's degree at the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music, achieving top marks.
Her passion for music began in childhood, starting with the Ametsa Txiki choir at the age of four. Although she initially preferred pop music, her time at the conservatory ignited her operatic calling, revealing her talent as a soprano. She has performed in various operas and zarzuelas, earning prestigious awards.
Her training includes studies at the Conservatory of Donosti, Musikene, and the Crescendo program at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Her acceptance into the La Scala Academy in July 2023 marked a significant milestone in her professional career.
At Friday's encounter, she will recount her experiences, including her favorite roles such as Liù in Puccini's opera Turandot and her appreciation for zarzuela. While many anticipate a concert, it will be an open discussion about her career and a Q&A session with the audience.
