The work of an artist will be exhibited today, April 4, at the Convent Garden in Gipuzkoa, as part of an event organized by Txoko Collective. Subsequently, on Thursday, April 9, she will inaugurate a new exhibition at the Juan Sebastian Bar. This artist, originally from Hendaia, has always looked towards the Bidasoa side, linking her life and artistic career with the concepts of migration and return.
Her education focused on Political Science and European Affairs in Bordeaux, and she later worked on cultural missions in the French embassies in Cuba and Ecuador. She has also been to Chile and has drafted the bilingual minutes of the Bidasoa-Txingudi Cross-Border Consortium, enriching her professional career with international experiences.
“"In my paintings, I show the happiness of having been there and the sadness of leaving."
In her works, especially those with humanist themes, she uses a migratory bird as an emblem. This symbol represents the idea of migration, how the bird returns to the same place where it built its nest. The artist has expressed that she really likes this idea of coming and going, and she relates it to her own life experiences.
Her artistic style is described as very geometric, using vibrant colors and acrylic. Cities and their architecture are her main source of inspiration, exploring angles, lines, the effects of the sun on facades, and shadows. The fascination with urban landscapes and stained glass also influences her work, giving it a distinctive touch.
