The AP-8 highway is experiencing 11 kilometers of traffic jams extending to Oiartzun, complicating holiday returns in Gipuzkoa.

Another day of high traffic density is unfolding on the roads of Gipuzkoa. Following a chaotic previous Thursday, when the AP-8 and the center of Irun were overwhelmed by a large influx of vehicles heading to France, the territory continues to face circulation problems. This occurs on the same day that the Basque Government and the Irun City Council met to discuss measures to reduce transit traffic through the border city's center.
At the AP-8 toll station in Irun, heading towards Baiona, more than eleven kilometers of traffic jams are currently recorded, impacting traffic on the roads of the Bidasoa region. Furthermore, a truck performed a "tijera" maneuver at kilometer point 7 of the AP-8, increasing traffic in the area. Although the heavy vehicle has been removed, the queues on the highway persist.
