The Orozko Town Council has issued a tender for the design project to enclose the municipal fronton, located next to the Town Hall, with the aim of protecting it from rain and wind, with a deadline of April 16 for submitting bids.

The Orozko Town Council has initiated the tender process for the design project to enclose the municipal fronton, situated adjacent to the Town Hall. Interested companies have until April 16 to submit their offers, with a base price set at 96,800 euros, including VAT.
The objective of this significant urban intervention is to shield this sports facility "from rain and wind before the autumn season," a period when both weather conditions "are abundant in the municipality" and negatively impact the activities held at the fronton, "both in the area designated for the public and that intended for pelota matches, fairs, and other sports and recreational activities."
The successful bidder, in addition to drafting the technical document, will also undertake the services of "construction management, execution management, final project, and safety and health coordination," as specified in the tender documents.
The project to be drafted must be based on the sketch selected through popular vote in a participatory process conducted in November of last year. A total of 464 residents of the municipality (93.5% of participants in the consultation) opted for a wooden enclosure over an option proposing a more modern, metallic design.
The winning architectural proposal is based on an acetylated wood structure that includes a translucent polycarbonate sheet, capable of filtering natural light and effectively protecting against rain. In the lower part, a metallic sheet tensioned by steel cables will act as a collection and evacuation element for water, ensuring the watertightness of the joint and the durability of the assembly. The estimated budget is 577,150 euros, excluding VAT, but the final figure will be more precisely determined after the project is drafted.
