The artwork stands 1.8 meters high and 16 meters wide, featuring striking images related to traditional Basque music, such as the pandero-trikitixa, alboka, and txalaparta, rendered in various colors.
This new mural was created by the artist from Sopela, Asier Aldama Cuadra, and represents an investment of 2,998.38 euros by the City Council.
The painting of this mural is part of the initiative the City Council has been developing in recent years to bring color and street art to various corners and public spaces in the town. Numerous murals have already been painted as part of this journey, which began in 2021: in the Aljibe, the Amasa pelota court, several buildings of the Fleming public school, the Txermin ikastola area, among others.
The municipal government has stated that it will continue to allocate an annual budget to paint new murals throughout the town in the coming years.
