It's not all about money; the continuous relationship with the Town Council, the information exchanged in both directions, listening to the proposals put forward by the Association, the Council's willingness to resolve stated problems, and the solutions provided to specific issues are far more valuable than financial funding.

The Areatza Association of Pensioners and Retirees has highlighted its close relationship and the support received from the Areatza Town Council, complementing the 3,000 euro subsidy allocated in the 2026 budget.
The Areatza Town Council has allocated a 3,000 euro subsidy to the Association of Pensioners and Retirees in its 2026 budget. However, the association emphasizes that, in addition to this specific allocation, the Council also funds other activities for seniors through various budget lines, including festivals, musical and theatrical performances, and other events.
Thanks to this specific allocation and the Council's funding of other events for seniors, the association has successfully mobilized 1,400 people in sports, cultural, entertainment, and leisure activities. Furthermore, they have also promoted the Areatza festivities.
Regarding the Day Care Center, the Council sought the association's opinion a few weeks ago on the potential use of their premises during hours compatible with their activities.
The association wished to highlight that the Areatza Town Council has kept them informed, listened to their concerns, and assisted them in resolving complex matters.
