The territory of Álava will once again be the stage for the iconic 'The Wolf Race' event on May 29th and 30th, immersing cyclists in a demanding sporting challenge.

Vitoria-Gasteiz will host the start and finish of the The Wolf Race cycling event, bringing together cyclists of various levels for an experience focused on endurance, navigation, and self-sufficiency. Two distinct categories will be offered: W300 and W100.
The W300 category will present a 300-kilometer route with 4,000 meters of positive elevation gain in a self-sufficiency (bikepacking) format, following a pre-set track. Participants will have a maximum of 22 hours to complete the course, which will largely traverse gravel tracks and paths.
Notably, the W300 start will take place on Friday, May 29th, at 10:00 PM, allowing for night navigation and the experience of dawn during the ride. To finish, participants must complete the route within the established time and pass through designated 'Dorsal Check Point' control points.
Additionally, the W100 category, designed for gravel discipline initiation, will cover 100 kilometers with 840 meters of positive elevation gain, having a maximum time limit of 7 hours. The start is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, at 9:30 AM, with the route primarily passing through the Llanada Alavesa and the area around the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir.
Furthermore, the event will feature a comprehensive program of activities at Salburua's East Park, serving as the weekend's central hub. On Friday, May 29th, there will be the opening of the Village and Expo Zone, bib collection, a children's scavenger hunt, a talk on Gravel and Bikepacking, a concert, and the event presentation and briefing, concluding with the official W300 start at 10:00 PM. Saturday, May 30th, will see the W100 start at 9:30 AM, the arrival of the first runners, a Pasta Party, and an awards ceremony, with the event closing at 8:00 PM.
