The Vitoria City Council and Fundación Vital will distribute 50,000 reusable cups for the first time in Armentia during the San Prudencio festivities on Tuesday, April 28, aiming to prevent the use of approximately 250,000 single-use containers and provide solidarity support to Club Deportivo Lakua.

This pioneering initiative, scheduled for April 28, seeks to reduce environmental impact by curbing the uncontrolled use of single-use containers in the hospitality services planned for the day. It is estimated that around 250,000 such containers will be avoided, marking a significant step towards sustainability.
Furthermore, this year's campaign includes a charitable component. Users of the reusable cups will be encouraged to donate their one-euro deposit to Club Deportivo Lakua, helping the organization overcome its current difficult economic situation. Families of players will voluntarily manage the distribution and collection of the cups.
The system is straightforward: a one-euro deposit is required for the first drink to obtain the cup. This cup can then be reused, exchanged as many times as desired, or returned to reclaim the deposit. For hospitality establishments, this system eliminates costs and operational barriers, as the organization handles collection, washing, and redistribution.
Fundación Vital will set up five tents for the distribution and collection of cups, strategically located across the Armentia fields: in front of the Administrative Board House, in the swing area, opposite the bowling alley, at the roundabout of the dealerships (Armentia entrance), and at the saint's roundabout.
