The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has implemented a solution to the recurring cafeteria and restaurant service issues at Gamarra pools by introducing two food trucks for the summer season.

The Gamarra pools will feature two food trucks this summer, a measure taken by the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council to ensure catering services at the summer facility. These units will operate from May 22 to September 6, aligning with the pool's opening hours. Furthermore, a tender has been launched to secure two gastro-vans for the 2026 and 2027 summer campaigns, with an option for a two-year extension until 2029.
One food truck will be located in the esplanade between the family pool and the rugby field, while the other will be situated near the pools and the solarium area, close to the first aid station. Both must operate, at a minimum, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though they can extend their hours to match the pool's schedule, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
While a specific menu has not been detailed, food, ice cream, and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered. Interested companies can propose healthy products, options for allergic or vegetarian individuals, or any other differentiating offer that adds value to the service. They may also request permission to install tables and chairs in nearby areas.
The deadline for submitting bids, which began on April 2, is 10 calendar days. Successful bidders will be required to pay nearly 1,000 euros, with 669.49 euros for public space occupation this summer and 300 euros for the annual fee. Should there be only one interested proposal or if one location remains vacant, the City Council and the sole awardee may agree for the latter to manage both sales points.
