A resident of Paúl, in Ribera Alta, has reported two instances of wild mushrooms being stolen from his private land within a week, expressing his anger over the situation.

A resident of Paúl, who owns a private plot in the center of the Ribera Alta council, has suffered two thefts in just one week. The incidents involve the disappearance of wild mushrooms (perretxikos) that had grown on his property, leading to considerable frustration for the individual.
The affected person stated that he had never been robbed in forty years, and this situation has taken him by surprise. He emphasized that his land is completely open, indicating a previous trust in the local community.

Maybe you dream a little about him at night, but nothing more. But, at least, tell him he's a bit of a 'jetón', a scoundrel and a brazen person.

The first theft occurred last week. The resident was on vacation outside Paúl, and upon his return, he found the mushrooms intact, with several ready for harvest and others smaller in size. However, when he returned the next day to collect them, they had all vanished.
The second theft, though more anecdotal, finally exasperated the resident and took place this very week. On this occasion, the intruder took two perretxikos, each weighing only about 15 grams, which the affected person had perfectly located. He criticized the poor practice of those who pick very small mushrooms, which experienced collectors leave to grow.
Beyond the economic damage, which barely exceeds 50 euros, the resident laments the bad practice of whoever took his perretxikos, especially as San Prudencio approaches, a time when these mushrooms are highly prized. He also called on institutions to establish a minimum size for mushrooms collected in the wild, similar to the existing maximum weight limit.
