Iñaki Oyarzabal, president of the PP of Álava, held a press conference this Thursday in Vitoria to outline the proposals his party will register in the three General Assemblies. These initiatives aim to alleviate the effects of the Middle East conflict, focusing on tax reductions, deferred VAT payments for unpaid invoices, and energy vouchers for businesses and the primary sector.
“"The plan agreed upon by the three provincial councils, which will have an impact of 103 million euros in Álava, is "insufficient" as it consists of financial rather than fiscal measures."
According to the PP, the provincial councils' plan exclusively targets businesses, "forgetting workers and families," rendering the 2% IRPF deflation "completely obsolete." In addition to doubling this deflation in income tax, the PP suggests an automatic adjustment in payrolls and withholdings to ensure taxpayers have "immediate" liquidity throughout the year.
Furthermore, they propose exempting companies from fractional and on-account payments, allowing SMEs and medium-sized companies to offset up to 100% of taxable bases, similar to self-employed individuals. They also advocate for deferring VAT payments for unpaid invoices to prevent "temporary insolvency of companies," and creating energy vouchers to assist with electricity bills, alongside direct aid and compensation for the primary sector.
