The new series 'Insólita Gente Translúcida', filmed in Vitoria and co-produced by Maua Produkzioak and EITB, merges supernatural elements with everyday emotions, preparing for its premiere on the Primeran platform.

The series 'Insólita Gente Translúcida', currently being filmed in Vitoria and co-produced by Maua Produkzioak with the participation of EITB, aims to explore supernatural narratives intertwined with the realities of daily life. The project, slated for release on the Primeran platform, does not seek to frighten viewers but rather to "unsettle" them in a positive way, addressing complex emotions through the inexplicable.
Created and directed by Iñigo Sbeltza, the series comprises six independent episodes, each featuring a ghost. However, these spectral presences are not intended to scare, but rather serve as "a vehicle to tell more earthly things," as Sbeltza himself explains. He adds, "We use the extraordinary to talk about what happens to us."
Filming is taking place at the Villa Sofía building, located on Fray Francisco promenade. There, the Maua Produkzioak team has shot a couple's scene starring actors Jon Plazaola and Patricia Urrutia. Sbeltza has expressed great satisfaction with the cast's performance and the working atmosphere, emphasizing that "humor and emotion always go hand in hand" in the series.

"There are very tough stories, because we talk about death, but we never stop adding a layer of humor."

The series has been filmed entirely in Euskera. As of now, there is no set premiere date, nor has it been confirmed whether it will be dubbed into Spanish. Sbeltza clarifies that "we don't know anything yet about how or when it will premiere."
