The Afaraba association and the Michelin Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement in Álava aimed at improving prevention, well-being, and access to support resources for people with dementia and their families.

This agreement seeks to bridge the gap between specialized social knowledge and the corporate sector. Through this cooperation, professionals from Afaraba will work alongside Michelin services to implement actions designed to detect cognitive disorders early and reduce the emotional impact on caregivers.
Planned measures include voluntary referrals for employees needing guidance on social resources or support when living with affected relatives. Additionally, internal information sessions will be held, and joint protocols will be established to streamline access to community support.
The agreement also focuses on the biopsychosocial health of the workforce, offering specialized advice for those assuming family caregiving responsibilities. This initiative aims to strengthen awareness and comprehensive care within the Álava region.
