Thousands of people gathered today in Amurrio for the Araba Euskaraz festival, a large event for the Ikastolas of Araba, in an atmosphere filled with music, games, and activities.

The streets of Amurrio were filled today with thousands of people from various parts of the Basque Country to celebrate the Araba Euskaraz festival. The event, organized by the educational community of Aresketa Ikastola, offered numerous activities starting from 10:00 AM, spread across three main areas of Amurrio.
The official start of the day was marked by a welcome ceremony at Aresketa Ikastola, attended by representatives from social organizations and the administration. The work of the Ikastolas of Araba was praised, "for their daily effort to play in and from Basque". The baton for organizing next year's Araba Euskaraz was passed to the Ikastola of Arantza, which will host it in Treviño, "in an area of Araba where Basque is not yet official".
The festival then moved to the town center, accompanied by the rhythm of a batucada. Activities were organized in the park and around the Refor sports center, featuring music, food, drinks, games, and stalls. Despite the high temperatures, the festive atmosphere spread throughout Amurrio.

Aiaraldea Komunikabideak produced a special live broadcast to cover the event. They invited Itxaso Ugarte, director of Aresketa ikastola, to discuss the organization process and the festival. Additionally, the group Belgorri performed their final concert in the park, sharing their five-year journey and a ranking of the festival's songs.
