Fireworks to Illuminate Mendizabala for La Blanca 2026 Festivities

Hermanos Fernández, Alpujarreña, Pibierzo, and Zaragozana will present spectacular displays from August 5th to 8th.

The fireworks displays for Vitoria-Gasteiz's La Blanca festivities will light up Mendizabala from August 5th to 8th, 2026, presented by four distinguished pyrotechnic companies.

The companies Hermanos Fernández, Alpujarreña, Pibierzo, and Zaragozana are set to deliver the fireworks shows for the La Blanca 2026 festivities. From August 5th to 8th, each evening will feature a display lasting at least 15 minutes in Mendizabala, commencing at 11:00 PM, as is customary.
The four invited firms will design their pyrotechnic shows in Mendizabala, showcasing their most awarded works and offering unique nights for enjoyment in Vitoria-Gasteiz. On August 5th, the Murcian pyrotechnics company Hermanos Ferrández will open the event with their 'Noche mágica' show. This family business also participated in La Blanca 2024, winning first prize in the San Juan Alicante bonfires' castle fireworks competition and third place in the Mascletàs of the Magdalena festivities in Castellón.
Alpujarreña, Nuestra Sra. del Martirio SCA, a family-owned pyrotechnics company from Granada with over a century of history, will illuminate the night on August 6th. They secured first prize in the XXIV International Author Fireworks Competition of San Fermín in Pamplona.
Pirotecnia Pibierzo, from Villaverde de la Abadía, León, with more than 25 years of experience, will perform on August 7th with 'Detonación de colores y ruidos'. They have participated in international competitions in Macau (China), the Fallas of Valencia, Blanes on the Costa Brava, Tarragona, San Fermín, Magdalena of Castellón, El Ejido, and Logroño, winning several top awards.
Pirotecnia Zaragozana, founded in Zaragoza in 1860 and one of Spain's most historic firms, will close the festivities on August 8th. They also participated in La Blanca 2024 and have been featured in the Feria de Abril of Seville, Málaga's Fair, El Pilar of Zaragoza, and celebrations in Burgos, Gijón, Logroño, Valladolid, San Sebastián, and Pamplona.
These pyrotechnic displays are expected to attract thousands of people to Mendizabala, where the creators, having accumulated numerous awards in major national and international competitions, will ensure that each night in Vitoria-Gasteiz offers a distinct and recognized quality spectacle.
