Expotaku Festival to Fill Vitoria with Anime, K-pop, and Cosplay

The Iradier Arena in Vitoria-Gasteiz will once again host the Expotaku festival on April 18 and 19, 2026, bringing together Asian culture enthusiasts with a diverse range of activities including anime, K-pop, cosplay, and video games.

The Expotaku festival is set to return to Vitoria-Gasteiz on April 18 and 19, 2026, transforming the Iradier Arena into a vibrant hub for otaku culture enthusiasts. The event promises a rich variety of activities centered around anime, K-pop, cosplay, manga, and video games, attracting hundreds of attendees.
On Saturday, April 18, the festival will open its doors at 10:00 AM and close at 9:00 PM, while on Sunday, April 19, it will operate from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Throughout these days, attendees can enjoy video game tournaments featuring titles like Naruto, Mario Kart World, and Pokémon Escarlata, as well as 'geek weddings,' various workshops, spicy ramen challenges, and cosplay competitions, among other attractions.
Additionally, there will be a dedicated K-pop area, a photocall to capture memories, the Cosplay Valhalla, and a Star Wars zone. The 3,000 square meters of the Iradier Arena will provide ample space for entertainment and exhibitions. Tickets are available through the official ExpOtaku Vitoria-Gasteiz website, with options for single-day or two-day passes, as well as family and friends bundles.
Participation in the workshop and board game areas requires prior registration. Organizers have stated that sign-ups will only be accepted for the current day, with no reservations carried over from one day to the next.
