Baskonia has announced the procedure for refunding tickets for EuroLeague matches played behind closed doors at Buesa Arena, offering an automatic discount on 2026-2027 season ticket renewals or the option to request a direct refund.

Baskonia has informed that the amount corresponding to the two EuroLeague matches played behind closed doors at Buesa Arena will be automatically deducted from season ticket renewals for the 2026-2027 season. These games were against Hapoel on March 27 and against Maccabi today. The club has not yet specified the exact discount percentage but will announce it when the season ticket renewal period begins.
The value of these tickets is higher than that of ACB league matches, as the EuroLeague is Europe's top competition. Furthermore, the season ticket price varies depending on the sector within Buesa Arena, so the refund amount will directly depend on the seating area of each member.

"The General Deputy does not hold the keys, and he maintained that the best solution would have been to exclude the Israeli teams from the competition."

Season ticket holders who decide not to renew their pass next season are also entitled to a refund. To do so, they must wait until the end of the season, once the renewal period opens. Subsequently, they will need to send an email with their personal details and season ticket number. The refund will be adjusted by sector, as the season ticket price is not uniform across all areas of Buesa Arena.
The decision to play these matches behind closed doors was in response to an order from the Basque Government to «avoid possible incidents». This situation had not been seen in Vitoria since the pandemic. Additionally, some groups and anti-genocide collectives requested the Provincial Council to prevent the use of Buesa Arena for these two games. The General Deputy, Ramiro González, stated that the institution does not have the authority to close the pavilion, as the concession agreement grants that power to the club.
