Just eleven days remain until the 2026 Araba Euskaraz festival. After offering previews in recent weeks, organizers have now announced the full program prepared for June 14. This year's event aims to boost Aresketa Ikastola with a series of activities scheduled from morning till night.
The festivities will commence at 10:00 AM at the Ikastola itself, subsequently spreading to the town center. Activities will be divided into three main areas: one in the park and two around the Refor sports center. Food, drinks, and other services will be available in all areas.
The program includes dance performances, children's workshops and games, street parades, zumba, appearances by Porrotx eta Marimotots, and traditional Basque sports demonstrations, catering to all ages and tastes.
A diverse musical offering will complement the festival. Various Basque bands will perform on stage, including EH Sukarra, Ganibet, Nafarroa 1512, Akerbeltz, and Bad Sound. Local groups will also have their moment; the Amurrio-based band Belgorri will perform in the park at 2:30 PM.
The organizing committee has invited thousands of people from various parts of the Basque Country to come to Amurrio for the entire weekend. To facilitate this, the programming extends beyond June 14. On Friday, June 12, the show 'Kantuz taupadak berpiztu!' will be presented at the Amurrio Antzokia. On Saturday, attendees can enjoy the Amurrio XCO race, the final of the Álava Inter-town Basque Ball Championship, and the Gazte Eguna (Youth Day).
